  • Visit Old Bushmills Distillery for the guided tour and book a tasting session to discover your favourite whiskey (please note children aged 8 and under are not allowed on the tour).
  • Visit Hezlett House Castlerock, 17th century thatched cottage, guided tours are available
  • See history literally forged in steel at the last working water-driven spade mill in daily use at Patterson’s Spade Mill, Templepatrick.
  • Go for Gold at the Steensons, watch the highly skilled craftspeople make stunning hand crafted jewellery at Glenarm.
  • Visit the Ballymoney museum and see what happened in the past 9,000 years in the area, also includes a genealogical research area.
  • Find your ancestors at Coleraine Library; you never know who might be hidden in your closet!
  • Shop for the latest fashions at the Diamond Centre in Coleraine.
  • The ultimate in pampering, book a session at a day spa in Springwell Manor Health Farm or Perfections Day Spa or Bespoke Beauty in Bushmills.
  • If you are getting wet anyway why not book a surf lesson or go scuba diving.
  • Love food? Treat yourself to one of the fabulous foodie tours tasting delicious local food and drink with Causeway Coast Foodie Tours or Irish Feast Food Tours.
  • Are you the next Harry Houdini?  Can you escape from the Elementary Escape Rooms in Portrush?
  • Go and take a running jump of the coast – try coasteering with Causeway Coasteering.
  • Forest park in the rain! Why not, Ballypatrick Forest has a five mile drive though the park with great views of Rathlin Island.
  • Take your favourite book down to the gas lit bar in the Bushmills Inn and order a pint of Guinness.
  • Try your had at something different and learn a new craft at Pretty Crafty Design Studio in Castlerock. Quilting, knitting, stone painting, model boat painting etc. Tearoom on site.
  • Take a walk though Castlecatt Studio Gallery and admire James McNulty’s oils, watercolours and pastels. Or head over to PortstewART Gallery in, yes you have guessed it Portstewart!!!

A beautifully maintained campsite, facilities clean and underfloor heating brilliant, especially in October! Games room brilliant for kids, safe, bright and perfect when weather is wet. Lovely walks around the site and the wee lakes and great access around the North Coast. An extremely enjoyable stay and look forward to returning next season.

Our second time at Ballyness. As good as if not better than the first stay. The facilities and amenities are first rate and the park is always kept in a lovely condition. The park is on the doorstep of all the attractions that the Causeway Coast has to offer, with loads of beautiful places to visit as well as a wide range of restaurants and bars to relax in. A fantastic site!

Just spent a weekend at Ballyness - really enjoyed it and will return for longer next year. The site is spotless in every way and very well laid out. The washing facilities would be worthy of a good hotel. Our 5 year old loved the playpark on site and games barn. Then you have Bushmills within walking distance and all the attractions of the north coast on your doorstep.

Friendly, helpful staff, who make you very welcome on arrival. Well laid out site with good spacing between pitches. A relaxing tranquil atmosphere with lovely walks around camp site. Amenities are spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We have been back to Ballyness several times and each time we are there it is as enjoyable as the first time. We will definitely be back for a few nights stay next season. Would definitely recommend as a place to come for a stay.

We made the long trip to Ballyness from Tipperary for a weekend stay and I must say everything about this site is 5 star. First impressions are lasting and the moment we entered the site it was evident that Ballyness is a very well run site. Tarmac roads , concrete pitches each fully serviced, washrooms & toilets spotless, lots of space for kids to play and a beautiful walk area with a pond with lots of wildlife. Will be recommending this site to family and friends.
